Our History

Taylor and Christopher started Proscape Properties with a unique mission at their helm: to care for property below the ground, and to provide quality landscape design and maintenance to the Southeast.

Growing a young company during a rough economy was initially difficult for the team, and their hurdles were compounded by the hundreds of individuals who claim “landscaping” as their trade without any formal training or education.

Armed with degrees directly applicable to their work, and prior history in the industry, Taylor and Christopher have built a strong business providing concierge levels of service to a starving market.

These two entrepreneurs have fought to eradicate bad design and maintenance from the landscape arena, and continue to push for a healthy offering instead.

Who We Are

Taylor Stansell

Taylor and Christopher founded Proscape Properties in 2011. Taylor graduated from Spartanburg Community College with an Associates Degree in Horticulture and Landscape Design and has been in the landscape industry for 16 years, serving as a leader at another landscape company prior to starting Proscape Properties. Taylor’s tenure in this industry has fostered his passion for service, developing relationships through networking and referrals, and his desire to influence the value of landscape services.

Taylor and his wife, Lisa, reside in Greer with their son Elijah. When he’s not hard at work, Taylor enjoys participating in fishing competitions.

Christopher Pierce

Christopher graduated from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College with Associates in Applied Science degrees in Golf Turf Management and Commercial Turf Management. Prior to starting Proscape Properties, Christopher worked in the golfing industry with an emphasis on golf course maintenance and golf course construction. During his term as a golf course construction superintendent, he completed three golf course design build projects. His 10-year history in the golfing industry afforded him the opportunity to learn the intricacies of multiple types of turf, including bermuda, fescue, zoysia, and bent grass with additional experience in chemicals and fertilization, drainage, grading, and irrigation.

Christopher and his wife, Jenny, reside in Greer with their two sons, Holden and Cameron. When he’s not hard at work, Christopher… well, he works until he goes to bed.
